Starring David Janssen as Dr. Richard Kimble, The Fugitive tells the story of a man on the run after being falsely convicted of his wife’s murder. In his cross-country search, he chases the real killer, a one-armed man, even as he is hounded by the authorities, especially Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard. Fans may note links to both Kerouac’s On the Road and Les Miserables.
The series aired for four seasons, a total of 120 50-minute episodes, and was nominated for five Emmy Awards.
